A cost- effective solution for Walmart – Technological renewal cycle

A cost- effective solution for Waltmart
As part of its technological renewal cycle, Walmart requires to renew the wireless LAN infrastructure in most of its stores and distribution centers in Central America.
He faced the challenge of finding a company that might have the knowledge and experience to provide the service in 200 locations and 90 days. It was also crucial that the company had a presence in the region.
We gladly took on the challenge and made a competitive proposal, which offered a mixed work team, with people on-site who would create the site surveys and send the information, through a cloud solution, to another team of experts located in our offices.
The second team conducted a predictive wireless analysis to determine where the access points should be located.
The tool we used, in this case, was wireless Ekahau Pro. As soon as the predictive site surveys were completed, we coordinated with the installation team and arranged the correct locations for the wireless devices.
Finally, once the physical installation was done, our on-site experts carried out the tour inside the store and validated the adequate coverage.
Our results
With more than 98% success rate in the predictive stage, the more than 200 locations were delivered on time and according to schedule. Consequently, post-implementation cabling costs and device replacement costs were considerably reduced.
In this way, it was possible to increase the return on investment and achieve high levels of user satisfaction.
